Registration CommitteeThe Registration Committee is actively working to maintain a quality examination process that truly reflects the professional practice of farriery. As the Body of Knowledge Committee identifies and documents new elements of the Body of Knowledge the Registration Committee reviews the new element and develops written exam questions necessary to test a candidate’s ability to use that knowledge in their everyday practice. The Registration Examination process is designed to test how candidates think about the practice of farriery. Professional Farriers make professional judgments regarding the treatment of horses every day. The Guild is working diligently to develop methodologies to outline what farriers need to know and then to test that they are able to use that information in real world practice situations. If you have suggestions for future test questions or methodologies please contact the Registration Committee. They are always open to hearing new ideas that can help the Guild to improve our professional examination process.
